Your AC quit on a Saturday in August. These aren’t problems you can schedule for next week. Same-day availability Monday through Saturday. We’ll give you an honest arrival window immediately — not a callback at the end of the day.
Emergency HVAC Repair in Richmond & Central Kentucky
We respond to emergency heating and air conditioning calls across all of Central Kentucky — Richmond, Lexington, Berea, Winchester, Irvine, Nicholasville, Danville, and every community in between. Based in Richmond, which puts us within 15–35 minutes of most addresses in the region.
We carry the parts that cause most HVAC emergencies on the truck — ignitors, capacitors, contactors, and flame sensors for the brands we service most often. Most emergency calls are resolved in a single visit. If a part needs to be ordered, we tell you the timeline immediately and help you figure out interim options.
“Quick response. Honest. Knowledgeable. Fast turnaround. Andrew came out on a Sunday and had the issue diagnosed in minutes. They were back out on Tuesday with the parts and had it resolved in no time. Highly recommend for emergency and non-emergency issues.”

No heat or no AC? Call us now.
Same-day available. $89 flat. No emergency surcharge.
What counts as an HVAC emergency
- No heat in winter. If temperatures outside are forecast to drop below freezing and your furnace or heat pump is out, that’s an emergency — especially with children, elderly family members, or pets in the home. Call us immediately.
- No AC in extreme heat. An AC failure during a heat wave with vulnerable household members is a genuine health risk. Same-day response is our standard.
- Gas smell near the furnace. This is a utility emergency first. Turn off the gas supply to the furnace, leave the house, and call Columbia Gas. Once they confirm it’s safe to re-enter, call us to diagnose the equipment.
- Carbon monoxide alarm triggered. Evacuate immediately and call 911. After the all-clear from emergency responders, call us to inspect the heat exchanger and venting.
- System failure with no fallback. If you have no backup heat or cooling and conditions in the home are deteriorating, don’t wait.
For situations that are uncomfortable but not dangerous — a system that’s underperforming, an unusual noise, a system that’s cycling oddly — we can often get to you same-day or next-day. Call and describe what’s happening, and we’ll help you assess the urgency.
Why $89 flat — no emergency upcharge
Most HVAC companies charge more for emergency calls. After-hours rates, weekend premiums, urgency fees — it’s standard practice in the industry. We don’t do it. The trip charge is $89 whether you call us at 8AM on a Tuesday or 8PM on a Saturday.
The reason is simple: the problem is already expensive enough. You’re dealing with a broken system, potential damage from the situation, and the stress of getting it handled fast. Adding a premium on top of that because you needed us urgently isn’t how we operate.
- $89 flat trip charge. Covers the full diagnostic visit and written repair quote. Repair costs are quoted separately and approved by you before any work starts.
- No surcharge for urgency. Same rate for scheduled calls, same-day calls, and emergency calls.
- No hidden fees. What we quote is what you pay. We explain every line item before we start.
We’ve built a 5.0-star rating across Central Kentucky from customers who’ve experienced that consistency firsthand. Andrew and his team have been doing this since 2006 — the same honest approach on every call, urgent or not.
For true emergencies — no heat in winter with temperatures below freezing, or no AC with vulnerable family members during a heat advisory — call (859) 544-3440 directly. Don’t submit the contact form and wait for a response.

Emergency HVAC FAQ
Do you really not charge extra for emergency calls?
Correct. The trip charge is $89 — the same rate as a scheduled visit. We don’t add a surcharge because the situation is urgent or because it’s a Saturday.
How fast can you get to me in Central Kentucky?
For Richmond addresses, we’re typically within 15–20 minutes. For Lexington, 30–40 minutes. For outlying areas like Irvine, Winchester, or Danville, 35–50 minutes. We give you an honest estimate when you call — not a vague ‘sometime today.’
What should I check before calling for AC emergency service?
Check your thermostat settings and batteries. Check that the outdoor unit breaker hasn’t tripped. Check the outdoor disconnect switch. If all of that is normal and the system still isn’t working, call us.
My furnace is making a loud noise — is that an emergency?
Depends on the sound. Banging on startup usually means delayed ignition from dirty burners — not immediately dangerous but needs attention soon. A continuous hissing could indicate a refrigerant or gas issue. Grinding or squealing is a mechanical failure in progress. If you’re unsure, call us at (859) 544-3440 and describe what you’re hearing — we can help you assess before dispatch.
What if you can’t fix it same-day because a part needs ordering?
We tell you the timeline immediately and help you think through interim options — safe use of space heaters, whether the home is safe to stay in overnight, hotel considerations for extreme situations. We don’t leave you without a plan.
